Mechanical positioning systems are used in various automated manufacturing processes. They need to be fast, reliable, and easily readjusted when necessary.

All these requirements are met by norelem's positioning cylinder with a wedge clamping system. They are made of burnished heat-treated steel and are available in four different diameters ranging from 10 to 20 mm. The cylinders achieve a clamping force of 5.4 kN to 22.6 kN, with a clamping range from 0 to 30 mm. This makes them ideal for many manufacturing processes that involve securing and fixing standard elements – even in combination with quick-change systems.

Easy installation, many advantages

To mount the positioning cylinder, standard tools are sufficient; the cylinder can even be pre-tensioned by hand. Centering or mounting bushings are not required. Compared to ball-based solutions, norelem's positioning cylinders with wedge clamping system offer a significant increase in clamping force with the same tightening torque. The high-quality axial bearing impresses with its high load capacity and long service life.
